The Merchant House, Bahrain's first five-star boutique hotel, located in the heart of Manama's old town has recently launched a traditional Afternoon T which is served in The Library, a beautiful, elegant space with a modern classic atmosphere.
The traditional afternoon delight draws its influence from the classic English afternoon tea custom while embodying the essence of the region’s spices and flavours. Most of the freshly baked delicacies have been inherited from Gordon Campbell Gray’s grandmother, enhanced with subtle local touch taking guests on a pleasant old-fashioned journey.
The Merchant House is a part of Campbell Gray Hotels’ line-up of luxury properties in Beirut and most recently, The Isle of Islay, Scotland. ALEX, Lake Zurich, perched on the water’s edge, all rooms have stunning lake views and The Boathouse, Zurich’s most anticipated lakeside terrace restaurant and bar. The Merchant House is an all-suite boutique hotel featuring 46 suites, each with an open plan kitchen and dining area, as well as lounge, desk and en-suite, perfect for both business and leisure. Located in a culturally vibrant location next to the Bab el-Bahrain Souk, this new development in the heart of Manama comes at an exciting time as the surrounding area is currently part of a regeneration project to re-establish the prominence of the old Souk and original heart of Manama.
